Housecleaning Workout Tip: Windows
By Cindy Posey | October 3, 2007
In my quest to get the house ready for the market, I discovered a very effective arm exercise while wiping down the windows and glass doors. I placed my supporting hand on one of the ledges or walls beside the window. As I cleaned the windows, I maintained a static wall push up with the supporting hand. The arm cleaning the windows was in constant motion and the other arm had the weight of my body supporting it. As I moved around to different windows, I alternated my stance. For the low windows, I knelled down and completed the wall push ups while getting the dirtiest parts of the windows cleaned due to little hands. I can’t believe the amount of stuff they get on the windows!!! This also works well when you’re motivated to clean walls. If you’re up for a real challenge, complete one-armed wall push ups as you’re cleaning the windows. Have fun wiping away the little smudges and fingerprints!
