It's Time for Goal Call Monday
By Cindy Posey | May 26, 2008
What is your goal in health, diet or exercise this week?
Goal Call Monday is your opportunity to be focused, accountable, and motivated to make your goal a success.
This week’s winner is…Blaine. Congratulations! Your special reward is $5 gift card for Amazon.com. Keep logging in the miles!
Ready to Share?
1. Enter your goal in the comments (anytime during the week).
2. You’ll be listed in the Goal Call section next Monday. Enter your results/progress to be entered in the drawing.
Why You Want to Participate:
Focus on your top one-week goal in health, diet or exercise.
Accountability is shared here in the comments and by coming back with the results.
Motivation will be provided through your desire to achieve your goal and return with good news or the challenges you faced. As an extra motivation, I’ll enter anyone who participates in a random drawing to receive a surprise reward (different prizes given each week).

I made my 5 of 7 days last week!
My goal is to stay away from excess sweets this week.
I feel like I have had a setback this past week! I didn’t eat as many small meals and ended up getting very hungry! Of course, then I ate more junk food. I will take any suggestions from anyone. Many thanks,
Cindi
Last week was pretty good – I didn’t run as much as I wanted to, but got short runs in most days. I managed to run on before, during and after my trip to PA so that worked out.
This week is my last “recovery” week, and I want to start building my mileage again. Hopefully there won’t be any pains in the leg. All easy running this week, but hopefully a few more miles. I would like to run around 30-35 miles this week. I got about 8.5 kilometers in yesterday, so that’s a good start.
This goal call thing has been really motivating for me. Since I started listing my goals here about a month ago, I have run 3 times/week EVERY week and my body is LOVIN’ it!!! Thanks for this!
So, for this week’s goal:
3 runs (I already got in one!)
1 day w/out any sweets (baby steps here!)
I did it! 5 days of exercise. I’m pretty happy about that.
I’m on a roll here, and I want this habit to “stick.”
I think I’ll go for this goal one more week. (Can I do that?)
So… once again 5 out of 7 days of exercise, at least 30 minutes.
5 days – 60 min cardio and 3 days of 30 min strength training
Hi Cindy,
I didn’t meet my goal last week but am well on my way to meeting this week’s goal – 5 cardio, 30 min. each, and 2 sculpting sessions.
I’ve already done one sculpting session (upper body) and 3 cardios, so I’m back on track.
And congrats to Blaine for winning this week, yeah!
