By Cindy Posey | August 11, 2008

What is your goal in health, diet or exercise this week?

goal-call-monday.jpg

Goal Call Monday is your opportunity to be focused, accountable, and motivated to make your goal a success.

This week’s winner is….Firemom. Your special reward is a Peony Creamy Body Wash from Bath and Body Works (8 oz). Congratulations.

Ready to Share?

1. Enter your goal in the comments (anytime during the week).

2. You’ll be listed in the Goal Call section next Monday. Enter your results/progress to be entered in the drawing.

Why You Want to Participate:

Focus on your top one-week goal in health, diet or exercise.

Accountability is shared here in the comments and by coming back with the results.

Motivation will be provided through your desire to achieve your goal and return with good news or the challenges you faced.

As an extra motivation, I’ll enter anyone who participates in a random drawing to receive a surprise reward (different prizes given each week).

Goal Call

How did you do? Did you accomplish your goal, get stuck, have a funny story to tell?

  • Blaine: Run 100km-115km.
  • Firemom: 2Walks, Yoga and 3 days at the gym. How did the first day at the gym go?
  • Lynn C.: Journaling food. Welcome back!

I failed to make my goal this week. My hip has been bugging me since the 10k, so I took it pretty easy this week and only ran 75 kilometers.

This week I need to get the hip better and hopefully get my training back on track; I’ve got a speed session scheduled for this weekend that I want to do.

I did accomplish my goal to do 50 reps on the Ab Coaster every day I went to the gym. A few days I did 70 reps instead. I love that thing.

This week, goal is to make it to the gym 5 times and do at least 50 reps on Ab Coaster each time.

This is my first time here. My goal for this week is to take advantage of being in Fitness Boot Camp by not loafing on the non-boot camp days and keeping food under control.

Goals: Go to Boot Camp M/W/F. Run 3+ miles T/Th. Stay on food plan.

Wish me luck : )

Ok, can I just say there’s something intimidating about someone saying “I failed to make my goal this week. My hip has been bugging me since the 10k, so I took it pretty easy this week and only ran 75 kilometers.”? Seriously. Cannot even hope to measure up :D

That being said, I did log my food all week. I did drink my water all week, and I did lose 3.8 pounds this week.

I am content.

I did get in my 3 days of activity, but only 1 day of Pilates & did not do so hot with the water.
This week-I’m going to set my aim a little lower, since school (my job) has started back up again & I’m trying to get readjusted to my ‘normal’ routine. I am going to try to fit in 2 days of Pilates & 1 day of 20-30 mins of activity.

I’m loving it! Everyone is trucking along at their own pace. Conquering those challenges and achieving the goals.

BK, what a wonderful testament to being an important part of other’s fitness goals.

Blaine, Way to listen to your body and make the adjustments as necessary. Sometimes it’s not the distance that counts.

Angie, Isn’t it so much fun to find a machine you enjoy?!

Welcome to Goal Call Monday Shana! That Fitness Boot Camp sounds great. Have a blast.

Thanks Mark.

Feener, Hard core on vacation. Way to go.

Lynn, no intimidation here, but I definitely know what ya mean! Way to stay focused and what a great week. Keep up the good work.

Anita, Readjustments to routine are a bear. Take your time and you’ll be on track before you know it.

I’m always last, but I’m still here!

I actually did great last week! Not only did I get off the mini-plateau, I hit the 10-pound mark :)

This week, my goal is to earn 24 activity points. I think it’ll be close, but I also think I can do it!
