Week 35 & 36: Fitness Journey low point, Aug. 17- 31st
By Cindy Posey | September 3, 2008
On the fitness journey front, I must say this has been two of the hardest weeks over the past year. My motivation to workout plummeted and I really can’t pinpoint any reason why. I’ve just been tired. With a couple strength training routines completed and a Yoga routine, I don’t have much more to report.
What’s crazy is that I was only a pound away from breaking my lowest weight in over 6 years. Time to focus, focus, focus. I’m eager to start running again, but a hip injury has kept cardio routines to a minimum (i.e. non-existant with the exception of gardening a day or two).
On a more positive note, I have two good Carnivals to share in which a couple of articles made the cut. There’s some great material on both, so head on over and enjoy the information.

Two weeks ago, I celebrated the year long goal accomplishments that I made with a couple of friends. We reserved a hotel room (in the same town), had a girls dinner, and a wonderful relaxing message the following day. It was a perfect ending to a year’s work. Now, it’s time to establish new goals for the year.
I’m bouncing back. I’m finishing up The Secret by Rhonda Byrne and definitely needed the boost in a positive approach to life. By getting caught up in life’s current, I’ve forgotten to sit down, meditate, relax, and figure out “what I want.” It’s tough to find the balance between want and selfishness. This week’s goal for me is to really map out what I want in my fitness journey as well as other aspects of life.
Thank you for all your support!

You are doing a great job – don’t let a low point get to ya. I’ve been in the same boat over the summer really – and as of this morning I am 1.5 lbs away from my lowest in 4 years. But MAN, that is a tough 1.5.
Keep it up – you’re doing great!
One Pound… so close, and yet so far! I’ve been in a slump as well. Nasty summer cold has knocked the pep right out of my step. Glad to be feeling better now, and hope that your energy level is on the rise soon : ) I received my lotion today and thank you so very much. It is delightful!
Comm’on a pound is not so much.Focus and reach your goal.
Thank, thank you. You’re right. It’s not that far away. I’m digging deep and heading for the next big slope of the journey.
